This post: 22 Free Printable Christmas Gift Tags You Won’t Find in the Store / Post Updated September 2023

The other day while I was kicking off my holiday shopping by stocking up on wrapping paper, Scotch Tape, ribbon, and gift tags, I couldn’t help but notice that the selection of gift tags were… well, boring and expensive.

Sure, the average-looking gift tags were fairly reasonably priced, but most of the truly unique and festive gift tags were super expensive and you only received 8 or 10 to a package – sometimes less!

That’s when I decided to do a little online research. There are literally dozens (and dozens) of adorable Christmas gift tags online that are totally free. And, so many are hilarious and even a little snarky – perfect for teenager gifts!

No more spending gobs of money on gift tags, now you can download all your holiday gift tags for the price it costs to purchase the paper.

Rock your Christmas gifts this season with fun (and some funny), festive, and FREE gift tags that will make all your gifts stand out from the rest. Whether you’re looking for frivolous and fun gift tags or merry and modern, we’ve rounded up 22 of the cutest free printable Christmas gift tags you definitely won’t find in the store.

Some of these gift tags are instant downloads (you just have to click a link on their web page). Others may require you to subscribe to their email list to receive access to the free printable Christmas gift tags.

TIPS on printing gift tags:

  • Use card stock paper for best results.
  • Either cut out the gift tags using scissors or use an inexpensive paper cutter.
  • Use a simple hole punch to create a hole for the ribbon. This one is super inexpensive.
  • Use ribbon or twine of your choice to attach the gift tag to the gift.

These are cute! What a lovely idea, I might give it a try. Not totally sure where to find the card stock paper, though.
