Trees bursting with color, warm sweaters, snuggling up by a crackling fire and pumpkin spiced everything  – Ahhh, fall. A season of renewal that brings with it a gentle reminder of what’s really important – family, nature and simple pleasures.

Sounds awesome, doesn’t it? But, let’s face it, moms. We’re busy. And, not just kind of busy… crazy busy.  With our hectic schedules, keeping up with the kids, Halloween in a couple of weeks, and the Thanksgiving rush just around the bend, chances are most of us won’t carve out time to enjoy fall or even take time to relish in a few simple indulgences, for that matter.

But moms, listen. Not only do you deserve to take time for yourself, you need to take time for yourself! It re-energizes us to wrap ourselves in well-deserved “me time.” Plus, it makes us better moms, better wives, better friends, better everything!

Whether it’s a stroll through the park on a gorgeous fall day with your best friend or a mini shopping spree at Target with a pumpkin spice latte’ in hand, here’s a few simple and fun ways to enjoy fall… without the kids.

Bring the vibrant hues of nature indoors with simple additions like new fall-inspired pillows, decorative pumpkins and gourds, a wreath over the fireplace, scented candles or a basket of colorful mums.
